Workers, both indoors and outdoors, in services, transportation, agriculture, construction, and other industries may be exposed to Wildfire Hazards that can lead to severe injuries, or death. There are factors that can cause the employee to be more at risk. This training helps to identify factors that can cause harm to the employee and potentially save lives.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) Wildfire Awareness standard 29 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 1910 and CAL/OSHA 5141.1 contains requirements for Wildfire Awareness.
Wildfires are common disasters that can spread quickly, particularly during dry conditions. A wildfire, also wildland fire, is an unwanted, unplanned, uncontrolled fire in a forest, grassland, brushland, or land sown to crops.
