The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) maintains general industry regulations on walking/working surfaces 1910.22-30 that guard against hazards including clutter, protruding objects, and wet conditions.
Workers can slip when they lose their footing, workers can trip when they catch their foot on or in something, and workers fall when they come down suddenly.

There are no formal training requirements for slips, trips, and falls. However, employees shall be trained to recognize and avoid unsafe conditions.
If workers are not trained on how to recognize and avoid unsafe conditions, the hazards can harm everyone in the facility, regardless of title or job responsibilities.
